Welcome to the SynergyOS Monthly Newsletter for March 2026

March continued the same clear direction: we are working toward FedSP as the next major foundation for SynergyOS.

The work is still mostly under the surface. That is exactly where it should be at this stage. Before FedSP becomes part of the product experience, we need the protocol, operations, and platform behavior to be solid.

FedSP Progress - Readiness Work

This month we kept pushing FedSP from prototype-level progress toward release readiness.

The focus was on making the system easier to operate and easier to trust. A federated sync protocol has to be strict about correctness, because once multiple organizations depend on the same shared history, ambiguity becomes a real problem.

The work included:

  • Protocol review: continuing to simplify and clarify the rules around commits, proofs, and ordering.
  • Audit behavior: checking that the history remains understandable and traceable.
  • Recovery paths: improving how the system behaves after interrupted or partial sync operations.
  • Rollout preparation: identifying the remaining areas that need validation before wider use.

We are deliberately keeping this work conservative. FedSP is infrastructure, and infrastructure should be boring for the people who rely on it.

Performance Improvements

Performance work continued in March, especially around the paths that matter for sync-heavy usage.

The aim is to keep SynergyOS responsive while background coordination, validation, and transfer work are happening. That matters for the current platform and it matters even more for FedSP, where correctness work must not make normal usage feel slow.

Bug Fixing

We also continued fixing smaller platform issues found through testing and day-to-day usage.

This month the work stayed focused on reliability: reducing inconsistent behavior, cleaning up edge cases, and making sync-related failures easier to understand and recover from.

Roadmap

Over the next few months we're focusing on:

  • FedSP: release readiness, protocol validation, operational diagnostics, and rollout preparation.
  • Platform quality: ongoing performance improvements and bug fixing around reliability-sensitive workflows.
